PEARL Talk: The Role of European composite Administration in the GDPR, the AI Act and the EHDS regulation – what about the rule of law?

On 29 October, NOVA PEARL held the second webinar of its PEARL Talks series, this time focusing on the role of composite administration under the GDPR, the AI Act and the European Health Data Space Regulation, and its relationship with the Rule of Law.

The event featured Jane Reichel (University of Stockholm) as speaker, Diego Rodríguez Cembellín (University of Oviedo) and Sofia Barradas (NOVA School of Law, 4th-year undergraduate student) as discussants, and Filipe Brito Bastos (NOVA School of Law) as moderator.

The topic of composite administration—that is, the interaction between national and EU administrative systems—is a complex legal reality that increasingly requires in-depth understanding from legal scholars and practitioners, as it may have serious implications for the fundamental pillars of the Rule of Law.

It was with this in mind that NOVA PEARL organised this webinar, aiming to contribute to this increasingly pressing discussion.
