Besides the DigiForce Programme, high-quality research in Digital Regulation enforcement will be continuously conducted by NOVA PEARL in the upcoming years.

 

Our scope of research will change on a yearly basis, in order to fully cover the key aspects of Digital Regulation enforcement:

 

  • Academic year of 2026-27: we will prioritise research on the enforcement of the Digital Services Act.
  • Academic year of 2027-28: the focus will be on the enforcement of the AI Act.
  • Academic year of 2028-2029: we intend to combine both themes.

 

Our goal is to collaborate with as many academics, experts and practitioners across the EU, and to adopt an interdisciplinary approach to the research, merging and contrasting the perspectives of all the different stakeholders that are affected by the Digital Services Act and the AI Act.

 

We intend to highlight this research through essentially four different outputs:

  • Blogposts and interviews
  • PEARL Talks
  • High-quality academic publications in leading international journals
  • The annual DigiForce conference
